The launch of the national mobilization program for the WorldSkills Competition Lyon 2023 bid, took place at the French National Assembly (Parliament) this Wednesday, May 15 in presence of the President of the National Assembly, Richard FERRAND, 50 MPs, WorldSkills France partners and sponsor CEOs. During this major event all participants committed to supporting the WSC Lyon 2023 bid and shared actively their initiatives, views, and ideas on how to promote the French bid nationally.
President Emmanuel MACRON has hosted the French Team of WorldSkills as well as the OD of WS member countries at Elysee Palace, on May 7 2019 and supported once again the WSC Bid Lyon 2023. During the meeting, he personally welcomed the delegates and expressed his hope to work together to promote the Skills all over the world and create more opportunity to the young people and their families.
World Industrial Stakeholders Committed to WSC Lyon 2023 at Global Industry Show
World industrial stakeholders gathered at EUREXPO in Lyon in March for the Global Industry Show. In total 2,500 exhibitors from all continents and representing 52 sectors participated to promote future industrial skills and expertise and engage 46,000 visitors from 86 countries. French Minister of Economy and Finance Bruno LE MAIRE visited the exhibition as well and took the time to speak to WorldSkills France Competitors in CNC Milling, Welding and Mechanical Engineering CAD who were training live amongst all visitors and exhibitors.
WSI representatives came to Lyon for a series of technical meetings and site visits as part of the WSC 2023 bid. In addition to discovering the city and infrastructure, they met political, economic, academic and cultural stakeholders and witnessed the legacy of WSC Lyon 1995!
